Sun Valley Mares
In 1997, Barry and Jan Butzer relocated their Sun Valley Farm, purchasing a portion of Allen Paulson’s Brookside Farm
near Versailles, Kentucky. Over the next twenty-seven years they were blessed to welcome the arrival of more than 800 foals at their location on McCracken Pike. The clients and lasting friendships made there were special, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. As we step back from day-to-day farm life, we have carefully tailored our number of mares to focus on quality and allow us time to enjoy all Thoroughbred ownership offers. Today, our own mares are spread among four bluegrass nurseries that offer the highest quality standard of equine care.
